I have been a ps3 owner for more than 2 years and love my 80g system. I feel no need to review the entire system as there are a plethora of well written ones by more qualified people. While I have only had the "slim" system for one day, some minor issues have become apparent. First, I have experienced major problems getting the controllers to sync up with the system due to interference with the logitech harmony PS3 adapter. I have NOT had problems when using the adapter in conjunction with my 80g model (except for occasional "shut down" problems that others have reported. In sum, when I turn the system on and try to sync the controllers, the four red lights continuously blink. I have tried numerous controllers and experienced the same problem. However, when the logitech adapter is unplugged, no such syncing problems occur. I don't know whether to blame sony or logitech for this discrepancy (I have tried customer service to both companies to no avail). Other than that, I have had one instance of attempting to shut down the system only to have the power light continually flash green while (as if it were stuck)...had to do a hard reset to fix this. Other than these two issues, it appears to work just as my other SKU, which is to say, wonderfully...great gaming (online and off), terrific blu ray, and all-in-all exceptional media center.
